After our disappointing FA Cup exit to Chertsey Town on the previous Saturday it was imperative that the team bounced back against Knaphill. This was a special occasion of sorts as it was the first outing for our smart new away kit.
In a hard-fought game we left it late to secure victory when a cross from Ben Geraghty was converted by Ken Nicholas five minutes from time for his third goal of the season. Thankfully the home team weren’t able to respond in the 90 minutes so we found ourselves in the hat for the third round.
The draw itself was nerve wracking for anyone following it live. And after a wait we were drawn away (what a surprise!) against either Marlow or Horsham who’d drawn at the weekend. On Tuesday our opponent was confirmed for the 30th of September as Horsham won though on the night .
