Match preview
After our surprising home defeat to Metropolitan Police on New Year’s Day we turn our attention to another potential banana skin against bottom of the table Binfield.
This season we’ve not always shown up against the clubs at the foot of the table having dropped points against Guersney, Corinthian Casuals and now Met Police in recent weeks and our league position reflects this, with us outside of the play-off places rather than smack-bang in the middle of them.
We’ve got to be on our game this weekend – as we were for the most part against Met Police – but longer term injuries to key players were compounded by injuries on the day which saw us struggle to create as much in the second half as Geraghty was forced to take up a more defensive role with Gbio removed from play. Before that we looked like we could have won the game by three of four. It’s a funny old game.
