Emirates FA Cup

Saturday 16th August
Soul Tower Hamlets or Kennington v Hanworth Villa
Last season our competition came to an end in a replay against Walton & Hersham, following a hard fought 3-3 draw at Rectory Meadow in the 1st Qualifying Round. To get there we had to overcome two rounds, beating Knaphill 4-0 in the Extra Preliminary round and Abbey Rangers 4-1 in the Preliminary both at Rectory Meadown.
This season, thanks to our 3rd place finish in the league we have bye to the Preliminary Round where we will travel to either Soul Tower Hamelts or Kennington who will face off in the Extra Preliminary Round.
Soul Tower Hamelts FC formally Bethnal Green United, were originally formed in 2000 and renamed to the current form in 2013. Currently playing at Step 6 in the Thurlownunn League first division. Soul Tower Hamelts play at The Mile End Stadium.
The other potential opposition is Kennington, not the stop on the Northern Line but based in Kent. The formation of Kennington Football Club dates to before 1890. The Kent County Football Association records show the clubs existence in 1888, however The Football Association has the formation date in 1885. Kenningtons' home ground is Homelands Park Stadium in Ashford, Kent.
Isuzu FA Trophy

Saturday 23rd August
Northwood v Hanworth Villa
In the FA trophy last season a mixed Hanworth Villa side exited the competition at the first hurdle falling to a 0-5 defeat against Margate.
This season we enter the competition at the preliminary round and will face an old Middlesex friend as we travel to Northwood. Northwood formed in 1926 are playing this season in the Southern League, Division 1 Central also at step 4 of the national league system. The Skyline Roofing Stadium in Northwood is the Woods home ground, just a short trip from Rectory Meadow. The winners of this fixture will host Beckenham Town in the First Round Qualifying.
