We are proud to announce testimonial matches for the safe hands of Terry Buss and the spectacular goalscoring of Sam Merson as the club celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Both players have been fundamental to the club’s success and progress over the years, and to honour their contributions they will go head-to-head in a special one-off match, with a Terry Buss XI taking on a Sam Merson XI.
Over many seasons with Villa, Terry Buss made an incredible 859 appearances and even managed to sneak in a goal of his own.
Sam Merson joined the team during the Combined Counties Premier era, going on to make 213 appearances and score 128 goals.
The main event will kick off at 1pm at Rectory Meadow admission prices will be free for under 16's and £10 for everyone else. With this being a special testimonial fixture season tickets and member prices are not valid for this fixture.
The grounds will be open from midday until 9pm, with all of our usual facilities available.
