Groundhoppers offer a glimpse of the past

Jun 8, 2024

We love our club, we love the team, the staff, the volunteers and we’re very proud of our facilities.

We’re constantly working to upgrade our ground, stands and clubhouse. And while we’ve seen a lot of change recently it’s always good to remind ourselves of the longer journey the club has been on. It’s taken years of hard work to get us to where we are now.

Looking back at some of the reviews we’ve found online helps us to see just how far we’ve come.

So, if you’re thinking of coming down (or coming back) check out our visiting us section which has details about what you can expect, how to get here and current admission prices. We accept cash and card at the ground and have match programmes for sale in our club shop.

So if you do spend time with us at Rectory Meadow please let us know as we love to get your feedback. Welcome to Villa.

Pick of the bunch

Ground hopping with Ryan (2018)

Ryan visited when we played Horley Town in front of just 36 supporters in the ninth tier. Some great pics here of the club as it was back in the day.

Hanworth Villa | Travels of the Traveller (2012)

September 22nd 2012 just 73 saw a 4-0 demolition of Dorking in the Combined Counties League Premier Division. A nice review and again some great pics of the “hopper’s” day at The Ranch.

Grounds for concern (2010)
This review goes back to a time when we were in our second season in the Combined Counties Premier Division. Again this has some brilliant images from around the ground.

We’d like to thank all the groundhoppers here for their time and for use of the images shown.
