At the end of the half things were looking good for the home team. Good in patches with some consistency returning. More of the same for the second half.
Second half
Hoath scores a controversial equaliser: 1-1
While our keeper was out of action with a head injury the ref allowed play to continue leading to a Thatcham equaliser on 52 minutes. When Ross recovered sufficiently to stand again, realising the goal had stood despite the foul on him, our keeper had a few choice words for the ref which saw our Ross given his marching orders.
With no keeper on the bench, Ben Merson pulled on the jersey and kept a clean sheet for the rest of the game.
