Hanworth Villa v Raynes Park Vale

In our first home game of the season we faced a confident Raynes Park Vale who brought the momentum from their promotion with with them – much as we did last season – scoring three second half goals to seal the points before sub Luca Cardines (91′) got us a consolation in an afternoon where most of the talk on the terraces was about the appalling weather conditions. As half-time approached so did the lightning and thunder and we were lucky the break came when it did allowing the game to continue uninterrupted.
