We can confirm attacking midfielder Finlay Macnab will leave Hanworth Villa this summer following a highly successful season at the club.
Finlay, 24, joined us from Kings Langley FC in February 2023, netting three goals in a four-game spell before going on loan to then-Step-3 side Hendon FC.
He was our second top goalscorer during the 2024/25 season, netting 10 goals across 36 appearances in all competitions.

Finlay suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in the 10th minute of our abandoned March 29 fixture against Ascot United, which proved to be his last time donning a Villa jersey.
Manager Simon Haughney said: “It’s really disappointing to lose Fin, as he puts in a lot of effort in training. He’s been brilliant for us, scored lots of goals … one of the best goals per games ratio (0.28) we have.
“I do believe if Fin had been fit, along with Ben (Mulley) and Pierre (Fonkeu), we’d have a better shot at the play-off final. He’s got a really good opportunity at work and I wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
Villa have been active in the summer transfer window. Earlier this week, we confirmed the signings of experienced centre-back Guy Hollis, 34, from National League South side Slough Town and talented young midfielder Brandon Curtis.
While Finlay will not be with us next season, he remains part of the Villa family and is always welcome back at Rectory Meadow. We thank him for his contributions to the club.
Finlay, who scored 15 goals for Villa across 50 appearances, has left us with a heartfelt message.
“Sadly my time has come to end at Hanworth to focus on opportunities outside of football. It’s been an incredible few seasons spent at the club, meeting some of the best people and creating the best memories I’ve had in football. Thank you to Si and the team, I feel lucky and grateful to have played under you and been apart of such a great club. All the best for the future.”
