For more than 40 years, Harrow Borough piled their trade in the seventh tier of English football. But after a torrid 2023/24 season in the Southern League Premier South led to relegation, they found themselves in unfamiliar territory.
The Boro have adapted quickly to life in the Isthmian League South Central though, winning five of their opening fixtures while conceding just one goal. But that run came to a halt in September, a 4-0 loss to Farnham Town, which remains their only defeat in the league.
As such, the Villa will face a tough test when they host second-placed Harrow Borough in their first-ever meeting. But coming off two come-from-behind victories, Villa are in good form and will want to send a strong message against one of the league’s best sides.
While Hanworth will stay in fifth spot even with a win, a statement performance will boost Villa’s chances to be among the promotion play-off spots come the end of the season.
